White Oak Ambience story

Our Story

Every candle we create begins with a simple belief:

Scent has the power to bring us back to the moments that matter most.

As a child, my mom loved the scent of lilacs. We had lilac bushes blooming in front of our house every spring, and their fragrance filled the yard.

Years later, she moved up north. Her neighbor had planted an entire row of lilac bushes just outside her living room windows. Whenever she opened the windows for a cool breeze, the scent poured inside. One day she told me she had grown to hate lilacs because it was all she could smell, I laughed so much.

After she passed away, I hadn't thought about that conversation in years.

Then one day aimlessly walking through a store I picked up a candle, a lilac candle.

The moment I smelled it, I was transported back to that exact memory. I could hear her voice. I could picture the expression on her face as she complained about those lilacs—and before I knew it, I was standing in the middle of the aisle laughing out loud.

Our Story

People probably thought I had completely lost my mind. But in that moment something incredible happened; I laughed. It was the first time I had laughed while thinking about my mom since she passed; a year and half earlier.

That moment changed the way I looked at fragrance forever. realized scent isn't just something we smell.

It carries memories.

It reconnects us with people we love.

It reminds us of places we've been, seasons we've lived through, and moments we thought we'd forgotten.

That's why White Oak Ambience Candle Co. exists.

Every candle we hand-pour is created with the hope that it becomes part of someone's story—whether it's creating peace after a long day, bringing comfort during difficult seasons, celebrating life's biggest moments, or unexpectedly reminding you of someone you'll always carry with you.

Because the moments that matter most aren't always the ones we expect.

Sometimes they're waiting inside a single familiar scent.

Set the Mood. Live Your Life.

I Love you Mom
